Situated just a stone’s throw from the bustling historic center of Polignano a Mare, Fra Crudi & Cotti offers an exquisite seafood dining experience that perfectly captures the essence of Puglia’s coastal flavors. This charming restaurant, located on Via Palmiro Togliatti, is a haven for seafood enthusiasts seeking fresh, artfully prepared dishes in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a clean, pleasantly understated setting where the focus is truly on the culinary journey. The attentive and warm staff make you feel right at home, enhancing the overall dining experience with genuine hospitality.
The menu is a true celebration of the sea, featuring standout dishes like the raw red prawns and Gillardeau oysters, which are praised for their exceptional freshness and delicate brininess that instantly transport your palate to the Amalfi coast. The octopus, tender and perfectly cooked, is a masterclass in texture and flavor balance, while the Michelin-worthy fried seafood plate dazzles with its crispy coating and succulent interiors, proving that even fried fish can be elevated to haute cuisine.
Giulia Auricchio’s four-week stay in Puglia crowned Fra Crudi & Cotti as her favorite seafood spot, a testament to the restaurant’s consistent quality and creative use of original flavors. Elizabeth Nguyen highlights the pasta dishes and daily catch, cooked with such freshness that every bite feels like a celebration of the sea’s bounty. These dishes are complemented by an excellent selection of wines, expertly chosen to enhance each course and lift the dining experience to new heights.
